Watch and notify
w marks a pipeline as watched. It then polls faster than its section until it reaches a terminal state, stops on its own, and sends a desktop notification.
What you see
A watched pipeline carries a ◉ marker in its row and a line in the footer's task area naming the stage and job it is on. You can watch several pipelines at once, and each one gets its own task line.
Polling stops the moment the pipeline reaches a terminal state, so a watched pipeline that finished leaves no poller running behind it.
The notification
Delivery is CGO-free and uses no daemon of ours. The message names the project, the ref and the outcome, which is enough to decide whether to switch back:
What you can do
| Key | Action | Key | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| w | watch, or stop watching | L | logs, following live while it runs |
| x | cancel the watched pipeline | R | retry it when it lands red |
Notification switches
Three switches live in settings:
Two of the three are off. The one that is on fires only for a pipeline you pointed at yourself.
Adaptive refresh
Separately from watching, sections that contain running pipelines poll faster than settled ones. A "Failed today" section full of finished pipelines polls slowly; a "Running" section polls fast.
Each pinned view also carries its own interval, and each instance has its own concurrency cap. See Refresh and caching.
Reduced motion
With reduced motion on, spinners become static markers and nothing animates. The task line still names what is running and what stage it reached.
